Rollbak revolver tonneau top

Just installed my x4 today. Easy install and looks great. Only issue was with the straps. They won’t tighten down in the rail. Did you have this problem?

Mine won’t be installed till Monday. It arrives Saturday. Will update then.

Been wanting one then the x4 came out looks better but the price i feel is too much

Well, recd the X4 Saturday. Ordered it from REALTRUCK.com. Tried to install on Sunday. Turns out the manufacturer sent the wrong parts kit & non-matching directions. It’s now Wednesday late morning. I am to receive a “supplemental parts kit” so I can actually install the X4. Still waiting for shipping info on this “parts kit”.

Ok TW, update on my revolver X4. I bought mine through a dealer. He worked on it for two hours before he realized some of the parts were wrong. The side rails were supposed to be 62 inches. One was 60 the other 59 3/4 inches. As he started taking everything back off the bed, half the screw heads stripped. Cheap Chinese star head screws. SO, watch out for what you buy from Bakflip. Someone who loads the cartons definitely doesn't give a grasp what they put in the shipping carton . I saw the carton. It said for "2016-2018 tacoma" right beside the "made in USA" sticker.

 

Thank you for that info. Indeed,,,I did receive my ‘supplemental parts package’ to replace the WRONG parts that were sent for install.
Still quite disappointed and I have yet to actually get the Tonneau cover installed,,,, I sure hope this goes well or I’ll be really pissed. $938 for a fuck up.
So if the supplemental parts package doesn’t work I will be sending the whole shit back to “auto customs/real truck” and look for a different brand.
Please let this fit all nice n tight.
Update next week.

 

The instructions were also wrong. Step 1 was remove the bulkhead. All that d id was leave a 2 inch gap. I dunno. Pretty sketchy.

 

Yes I agree the directions did not match my parts that I had it all,,,the clamps/lockdowns were not the same, the rails had holes in them five holes rather than three notches as the directions were stipulating.
Sad customer service.
BUT, My brother a 35 year veteran mechanic looked at the supplemental parts package and confirmed that we can now actually mount my X4 onto the truck successfully.

Noon, this is my latest update. The bacflip company told my dealer that He was an idiot, that he could put my revolver x4 on even though it was visibly 2 inches short. It is pretty obvious that they packed the wrong rails in the box , but backflip refuses to own up to their packing mistake and send rthe correct parts. Did you and your brother get yours to fit?

 

I’m sorry to hear that. We will be installing it this Sunday. Bro did confirm that the new parts & directions look good for a fit.
