I retired from the FD last year at 47 so I've got plenty of time to hang around ;)

Retire as soon as possible. Life is too short to work anymore than you have too. I'll put it this way... I've never heard anyone laying on their death bed saying "I wish would have worked more".

    Lol!!! Very well said.
My dad is set to retire in December and we are throwing him a shindig.

Says he's talking a 5lb sledge to his work phone so ain't no way I'm missing that!

Tell your dad congrats! Take a video of him smashing his phone. That's a good idea :)

I made a few of these with my own little twist, so I have a couple I will sell. I have a Rough Country light bar and the design of it lends it to have J bolts to act as support to keep it from flapping in the wind. I had the visor cut with two tabs that go under the light bar and stick out the back for the J bolts to attach to. I used set screws with nylon tips to keep it tight and not scratch it. Turned out very well for my setup. I made a few designs for the mounting brackets.

I made these to fit my Ram that has a 54" light bar, so it can be cut down to fit any smaller size. Definitely weren't cheap to make so I'm just looking to make back the cost of them. Not sure how much shipping will be, but if you're interested, shoot me your address and I'll get you a price. $150+ shipping

All visors are sold. I can send my CAD files and you can take it to a fab shop and have them cut you a visor and brackets. Let me know if interested.

They are set screws with nylon tips. The J bolts pull up on the visor to keep it from flapping in the wind and the set screws give the visor a “stop” so the visor doesn’t get pulled all the way up to the light bar when the nuts on the J bolts are tightened. The nylon tips keep the light bar from getting scratched/damaged. Rock solid mounting and no wind flap.

I have a couple of the mounting brackets but no visors. I can send the CAD file and you would have to have a shop cut it out.
