In the market for one to use once this covid deal blows over... was looking at the Roam by Adventure Co, decent pricing and good reviews.

Please post up what you have and any pics would be appreciated.

I run a ARB myself. It was jon the cheaper end price wise. It turns out I don't use it very much at all (difficult to get the truck positioned exactly right to block out the sun) so I'm glad I didn't spend too much.

ARB 2000x2500 on victory 4x4 rack. Works great. Good quality.

I used to run the ARB 6ft with some mounts on top of the prinsu, but it was too long and soon interfered with my tent and snorkel (i wanted everything to open passenger, and the snorkel was there too), i switched to the ARB 4ft, and with some aluminum spacers and longer bolts, bolted it directly to the side of the prinsu. That reduced my top down height, and made it easier to open with only one person. The 6ft also looks like a cannon on the side, if you have the back of it flush up against the cab
Here you can kinda the top mounts in this pic:

Have you used this much to the point you've noticed any cons? I am looking at the 4 foot in width one as well because I don't want it to look like a "cannon". However...it makes me curious if 4 foot is wide enough for ideal shade.

I've used it a couple times. Its provided me a fine amount of shade. I'm mostly a solo camper/adventurer, so for one person, it works perfectly. I havent used it in the rain, though, not sure how well it would function in that situation.

Loved my Tuff Stuff 8' but it is weirdly long on the side of your roof rack as noted above... Would be nice if you could mount it on a bed rack. Also the Tuff stuff has an option for a shade panel that goes from the end down to the ground. This is an especially nice feature!!

I am actually selling that set up as I got one of the Slumberjack roadhouse tarps with the mesh and it suits my needs a bit more.

Have a Yakima slim shady. Mounts with out any additional pieces to the prinsu. Takes me probably 2-3 min to get it installed.

I don’t leave the awning on- just throw it on if I need it for the day or else take it off .

I like it since it’s easy to install, easy to setup, and the Yakima mounting system is so simple you could use this on anything. I could easily throw it on my wife’s forester within a few minutes

Did you use the awning brackets from Victory or direct mount to the rack?

    Any pics of integration?

Just added the victory 4x4 rack (brand new but second hand) and it came with awning brackets so I'm looking at what awnings would work well.

Any awnings that go from double cab rack to tailgate? Pic for recommendations!

    You too @Tacodog

If you plan to use the awning in wind I would get something more sturdy. The typical ARB, CVT, 23zero coolabah, whatevers are all pretty similar. It's brand preference. If you want to step up to a 180 or 270 do some research. I went w/ the 23zero 180 peregrine LST. Can't say I have any complaints about it at all.

Haha getting called out. I got my brackets from a friend. Don’t know the brand. They sit on top of the rack. Mounts the awning back over the cab top. Shaped like an upside down T. Prinsu won’t work on the Victory rack without modification.

I’ve had the same experience with those setups. OP, here’s a similar and current thread.

Consider alternatives. I’ll post a picture of what I use in lieu of a fancy black shaft and it’s coverup.
