    Hello, I was wondeing if having a roof basket (like a yamika) mounted to the roof rails would decrease the mpg? I have a 09 forester and when i put one on it goes from 28 to 20 highway even empty.

    Yes, it will make a difference, even empty. I don't think it will be 8 mpg difference like the forester, but it might be 1 or 2. The faster you go the more it will be impacted exponentially.

    every roof rack ive had on any vehicle kills gas mileage...
    for road trips i usually take them off
