Is there a local place around Seattle that has some roof top tents set up on display to see what the different size tents actually look like? From what I can tell the only place that looks like they might have a few set up is Adventure Ready in Seattle. Any others that anybody knows about?

    Thanks!

Adventure Ready is the only place I know of in Seattle.

We actually drove to the REI a few weeks ago and they sell them but dont have any on site. I saw that adventure ready has some set up but they are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

I just want to see the actual size of a few before I purchase one. Something my wife, my two kids(10 and 12 year olds) and myself will fit in comfortably. That and will actually fit on the back of my 2016 DCSB ..

I thought of them also but I can't tell from their website if they actually had some set up in their showroom...

Sounds like a camper would be better for you guys. Maybe a pop up? I dont think youll find a RTT has enough space for 4 people comfortably.

My ultimate goal will be a medium size offroad teardrop camper with a kitchen but for now looking for a 4+ person roof top tent until we can afford the trailer. I have a feeling it will be mostly just me and my boys camping anyways

I actually went there before I bought this CVT Mt. Rainier Extended Stargazer Summit.

The main reason I went with CVT over FSR is the floor. In the FSR one I looked at the mattress sets right in the cross bars.. I just can't see how that would last with me(220 lbs) and my family sleeping in it.

How's the Rainier fit your family? Little tight?

I had the following setup for 4. 2 teenagers, me and the wife. Tent for us and awning with enclosed room for the kids. Absolutely worked great and everyone had plenty of space. Might be something to think about.

We have now moved to this, which is ideal for our situation and I couldn't be happier.

My kids are still young(12 and 10) so they haven't quite hit their growth spurt. It is perfect for us bc my oldest already said he will sleep in the annex on a cot (like having his own room) but I think even if we all wanted to sleep in the tent we would fit no problem. It's the size of a California king plus a little longer...
