#2 looks mighty nice. You note the open dimensions, but do you have dimensions of them closed up? I would be thinking of mounting this on my bedrack system for context but mostly inquiring. but would like to know if i would need wide bed bars or not.

Added the closed dimensions as well (thank you for pointing that out). #2 would stick out nearly 12" on the back of your truck with your current rack, #3 would mount nice and flush. I don't see any need for different cross bars.
