Have you thought about doing the crossover under the trans pan in an oval pipe to allow for more clearance for those with aftermarket skids. Or.woukd the oval pipe change all the tuning calculations you did

Actually I havent thought of that! Oval tubing would probably be very expensive but shouldn't have any affect on performance as long as the internal cross sectional area remained the same.
It would also be a lot more work getting the transitions from round to oval exact.
So ultimately yes it could be done but probably not feasable.

Vibrant Performace makes transitions, and oval tubing. Not sure if other companies do, but some searching would yield results.

As for feasibility, pricing aside, it also depends on the combined lengths of the transitions to and from, in the limited confines.

Maybe an experiment for the future, from the Mad Scientist???

Possibly, but no one seems to have any issues running the URD y-pipe with skids that I know of so there shouldn't be any problem with mine. If someone wants a slimmer more custom option then of course I can make that happen but it will cost $$$$.

I'd say try making some custom dual exhaust tips! Oval, slash, etc... Saw a guy on here with a unique set up a while back.

Too many run of the mill available. No performance gain. I'm all about helping people go faster with the best efficiency possible.

I think this is the rare instance of form AND function w/o any sacrifice. This thing is a work of art and no sacrifices were made on performance to achieve it. It seems that they compliment each other perfectly. I just want one that has even 95% of the performance with about 50% of the look due to mass production for around 70% or so of the price and then count me in! lol

Now, if this was something going on say... my old Supra... I could justify the price tag for hand made looks and attention to detail. Even then I spent WAY too much money on a titanium exhaust that I realized was a mistake when I realized I was the only one who was ever underneath to even see it. Haha

I just wish I could justify the price tag for a Tacoma because this thing really looks nice and I love the reviews of the performance increase and audio note that I'm reading.

Well said and I completely understand!
Another bonus for the people that are getting these are a few variable options at no extra charge. One guy wants a straight 3" merge collector. No problem. Another wants a 2.5 merge collector. No problem. Also extra o2 bungs for afr gauges in your desired location for no extra charge or one in the merge collector.
You obviously cant get that with a mass produced item!
Thanks again for your point of view!

@Murphinator yours is almost done! I just have to weld up the "ultra high speed" merge collector and fit a hangar to it.

Update: I should have @Murphinator y-pipe done today and will start on @Biscuits if he is ready or @rjbiii . I probably wont have that one finished by the end of the week as I have family stuff to take care of...you know laundry, mow the lawn, all that boring crap! Then I am busy being a motorcycle escort on Saturday for a big road bike race and Sunday/Monday its going down for @5thGearPinned !

We are installing URD headers and a Vibrant 1142 resonator to complete his exhaust (thank you @loginfailed for the donor), porting his sc and lower intake manifold, 76mm throttle body (already cleaned up and adjusted), 2.5 qc pulley from a 2.85 (thank you @White lightning boosted for the cutter loan), UCON with 160 thermostat, 61lb injectors, pulley wrap mod, and a catch can.

I think he will most likely notice a small bump in performance when were done! :D:D:D:D:D:bikewhoops:

No problem sir. Glad I could contribute. Once crashnburn80 and i are done with this spell of mods we will join the cool kids with small wheels.
