Ahh ok, I see now. I don’t have any need to do this since I’m not F/I. But I am willing to do a lot to get as much ponies out of my N/A setup since a supercharger is out of my reach and will be for quite some time

Thanks @Lucario Runner The Tacoma is the longer one and has the hangar on the y-pipe where on the 4 Runner it is on the catback.

Did you adjust it counter clockwise, or clockwise? Just making sure I have the most info I can before I go and start messing with the screw. :D

Counterclockwise to close the valve. Clockwise to open. Be sure your in a quiet environment and you will be able to hear the difference when the valve starts hitting the bore.

I did it tonight with the blower still on the truck. Boy was that the hardest thing to do ever! Finding the right size was the first obstacle to overcome let alone adjusting it without losing the Allen key! I will say my boost consistency went up for sure now! Back up to a nice and solid 11 psi. :) Good suggestion Roost, the valve was SUPER misadjusted! Like at least 3.5 full turns off. Now to tighten up this drive belt and I'll realize my full boost potential. :D

You'll reach a point of diminishing returns on a stock N/A motor. What I mean by that is no matter how much you spend on "bolt" on mods you may not see a worthwhile increase in power for the $. Even bolting a supercharger set up to a stock motor there is only so far you can go before you'll run into this again. Another thing is being able to tune the computer with better fuel and timing maps. I've seen a buddy of mine (who's an engine tuner) take a stock LS and with nothing more than tuning pick up more power than the typical LT headers, exhaust, and intake mods. Once you start down the modifying an engine rabit hole you'll need other things to support what you've done. Like cam shaft profiles, pistons, rods, crank, etc. It's a rabit hole that gets dug quickly. Also a lot of bolt ons you won't see their full potential until you remap the ECU.

Not trying to stear you away but there may be other things you might want to start with before you go too far and get no gains. There is a systematic approach to take. It all depends on how far and what you want to accomplish.

You’re right about that friend. Once you do one thing you gotta do another and then another etc... I got all the bolt ons, now I just need to get my OV tune tuner squared and I’ll have everything working as it should. A rabbit hole, an expensive one indeed...

Your very welcome! I had a super busy weekend (20 hour work days) and a super busy week so probably wont make any progress for the the next 10 days or so but will get back at it as soon as possible.
Shipping should be around $75 but dont hold me to that. It all depends on how cool my local USPS guys are in fudging the box dimensions on the small side.

Y pipe should arrive today .. installation scheduled for tomorrow at 4pm.

My current setup is : headers - y pipe - vibrant res - bull shit magnaflow res( that does nothing ) - muffler. It’s pretty loud lol, but I kind of like it. I’m hoping your y pipe will eliminate some of the rasp. I already have the high flow cat on the way .. will install after further review.

Will swap the y pipe for now .. see if I notice any change in acoustic.

    Another update tomorrow night ..
