They hardly spoke English .. I basically tell them what I want. However, they did say “ muy bueno ! “

@Roostfactor - Yup .. rasp is gone. I might hold off on adding the high flow cat. I’m digging how it sounds. It’s definitely a deeper tone but not too loud.

I’m running a vibrant and a magna res before the muffler.

    @jojotoo

    AWESOME!!!

I dont think the cat quiets it down much, it just for people with headers so we have a cat, not for sound control.

I dont remember if you had headers or factory manifolds?

Do you notice any power difference? Smoother? Less throttle cruising down the highway?
The engine should just feel like it has an easier time breathing overall if that makes sense.

Not to thread jack. But I just installed a urd Intake. And now when I let off gas in a high rpm with out shifting. It rumbles and grumbles and backfires on occasion. Sounds so nasty lol. Some might not like it. But race truck.

    Yup .. running URD headers.

I just got to Vegas from LA. It seems to accelerate quicker. Definitely feels smoother.

The pipe was rubbing against cross member when it was all bolted down. I used some heat wrap where it was touching. It’s all good now ..

    Totally happy with it !

That's interesting. When we made @loginfailed s one of the pipes came close to the crossmember so we put a small dimple in it for clearance.
Since then I am extra careful with ensuring there is adequate clearance there. At least an inch. I understand there will be a little bit of tolerence difference between each vehicle but that is quite a difference from mine.
Do you have the l brackets installed that go from the trans to the lower header flange?

I had the same issue with the URD y pipe. Maybe an issue for the pre-runner vs 4x4 ? I dunno ..

What's the code? It got a p0420 today as well. I just clear them now.

Ahhh, you may have something there. Your crossmember may sit higher or further forward because no transfer case? If you get a chance send me a pic of where its rubbing please so I can try to determine where and why.

Thanks for the updates and super happy your stoked with it!

Well, lol .. I was getting the p0430..but after ANOTHER session with Scott, I’m getting P013C. Can’t win .. it’s one or the other. Last session, he increased my injector size.

Are you running the 61lb injectors? Or factory sc injectors?

Nope .. factory SC injectors. I have 80s on deck tho.

My truck is running pretty good right now. With the added CSF radiator, plus your y pipe. All my temps looks good .. the truck runs smooth.

For P013C and/or P0430, try replacing the rear O2 sensor on the driver side.

On these O2 sensor codes, I’ve learned not to immediately blame the UCON. I had a stubborn O2 code that wouldn’t go away. Since I replaced the related sensor my truck has been spitting unicorns and rainbows from the tail pipe.

Or change the the timing on the camshafts like the new gt500 mustangs do. Also old Indy v8 cars did the same thing. We've dabled in it with some custom ground cams for SBC but haven't seen the gains we expected. This was on N/A circle track cars with all custom headers and exhaust. My thinking is we would of seen some gains on a SC or TC engine.

Yes that's very advanced stuff changing the firing order on v8's to try to find an advantage with induction, cooling, and or exhaust. Tricky stuff for sure as you are changing the whole dynamic of the engine including potential harmonic vibrations, etc.

What's up Titan?! You'd be surprised at how much more performance oriented TW has become over the years. Incredibly.

I'm just really getting back into it. I'm on X-Runner #2 and now that it's paid off and almost out of warranty, it's game-on. The X-Runner feels so slow compared to my Ecoboost MKS so I want to at least make it comparable since my wife permanently borrowed the MKS lol.

    Hey Titan,

I think we can work something out for you. If you have read through the thread you know these take time to build and I currently have 7 to make so it will be 30 to 60 days minimum before I get to yours.
In my first post I explained pretty much everything so if you want one please pm me.

Edit: I see your conversation and will reply to you there.
