uploading video now, hopefully 2 minutes isn't too long. Not bad for being 25 min of raw footage, I tried to splice in a diverse amount of acceleration and stuff. the gopro just pics up mostly wind and other noise at cruising speed, which is pretty true to real life.

I wouldnt trust epoxy though. I'd always be worried it would come off.

Alright back to welding. Doing up some merge collectors tonight and may get to some of @rjbiii vband, flex, resonator if time permits.

I promise guys I dont sit on my butt but my truck is back together for now so I stay busy fabbing up sub assemblies until I take my y-pipe off again. Then it should be quicker finishing each one.

It is branded as "Banks Monster" on the muffler, It has baffles inside but is considered a straight through muffler. All the reviews I saw of it said it was loud, but honestly it doesn't really get "loud" until 3k rpms. Cruising around it is very tame.

I wished I had completed mine back in '89-90 while serving as an aircraft mechanic, but didn't think I'd need it as a future "pilot".

    I was wrong...

Just to show you guys a little update of what goes into all this.
I am installing some stuff for @rjbiii this weekend to include URD headers, my y-pipe (still have to finish) and this setup to mate to his exhaust. He chose an AFE side exit that allows very little room between the y-pipe and AFE muffler. Because of this we have very little room to work with. Originally he didnt want to install a res or cat but I talked him into the res because it would have been REALLY loud without it. He is going catless and we will have roughly 16 1/2" to work with.

I had to use my portable band saw to get close enough to the resonator to trim 1" off each side.

I also sanded 1/8" off each side of the flex.

Then each joint gets a short piece of tubing which is welded all the way around, allowed to cool, then the flex is welded to other tube.
This is done for structural integrity since there will be loads and vibration applied to this area.

You can see in the pic that the tube is welded to the res and the flex is tacked in place. I took this pic now so you can see the time and effort involved.
    20180912_153315.jpg
In this pic you see the same thing but also the extreme closeness of each part in order to meet our 16 1/2" length requirement.
    20180912_153330.jpg
Total length is exactly 16 1/2". YES!!!

@Stryker420 I have already started a bit of yours so yours will be next if that is cool with @Biscuits ? Then Biscuits will be after. Let me know Jack.
