I vote alodine... Its easy to apply. Works great on airplanes lol. I treat my truck like an airplane. I even have log books...I accept the challenge to make this radiator support upper cap!

Does anyone have a video with the URD Equal length headers and Roostfactor’s y-pipe yet?

An update from my last post at Roostfactor’s house. After we put the intake back on we installed the Ucon cam gears, 61lb injectors, the URD equal length headers, added a vibrant resonator (thank you Loginfailed!), and an oil catch can. We took out my TRD flashed ecu and put in a stock ecu doing the hand shake mod. Again big shout out to Loginfailed for answering the phone when we called to help us clarify the ecu trade out. Roosty attached the Ucon to the stock ecu and installed everything back in place.
After driving it around for two weeks or so, I do not have any cels, knocking on wood. All I know is that this truck just completely rips now. It is way smoother, faster, and with the headers just sounds like a race truck. It pulls harder a lot earlier and revs out further with more power every where. I love the way the engine sounds when accelerating and just cruising at 65. The exhaust with the hi flow cat, vibrant resonator, and magnaflow muffler is very livable for all the mods. The engine while cruising never downshifts from overdrive for anything, it effortlessly just pulls up the hill. It feels like it flows and has a lot easier time moving the truck, it just purrs along. I’m stoked and wanted to say a huge thanks to Roostfactor for his time and helping me do all this! I have videos and will see what I can do to get them on here.

Ballin'! :spending: I was looking at Baja or Rigids.

Do you use them for backup lights? Which ones are they, S2 sport, S2 pro? Spot, driving/combo or wide cornering? How do you like 'em?

It’s the S2 pro wide cornering .. I used to use them often.. but not anymore. I have them hooked up to “trigger six shooter”. The RF remote switch connection to the main control unit is inconsistent ! It’ll turn on/off only half the time. Ugh .. need to send in the unit for an updated version that has a built in antenna. But yeah .. love the lights !

Visited the one and only @Roostfactor this past weekend to pick up my y-pipe, have a vibrant 1142 resonator added, get everything fitted up to my aFe exhaust, install URD equal length headers, and drop the gas tank to install a new fuel bowl. It was a long couple of days, but was glad I made the trip up there to meet him and have him walk me through everything.

I was very impressed with the knowledge and skills that John has to offer to all of us. Learned a great amount about a variety of things, and got to see first hand what goes into making these one-of-a-kind pieces of art. The craftsmanship and attention to detail that he puts into each and every piece is second to none, and I can tell you first hand, it's a quality of work you won't get when taking your truck somewhere like an exhaust shop. Watched him do everything from cut, sand, debur, flux, weld, and put the y-pipe on and take it off multiple times to ensure the perfect fit and finish. Everything down to the gaskets are top notch quality pieces that you can be proud to put on your truck.

Now to the performance.. truck is a whole different animal now with equal length headers and y-pipe. Pulls noticeably harder throughout the entire rpm range (especially on the big end), and sounds super smooth. No longer feels like the exhaust is restricted and the motor has to work hard to push it all out. Seems like the truck can finally breathe now that everything is opened up.

If you are on the fence about pulling the trigger on one of these, just go for it, you won't regret it!

Thanks again for all your help Roosty, couldn't be happier!

Charlie is chillin as usual. Awesome two days! Your gains are exactly what I noticed, the big end and the engine doesn’t feel like its working anymore.
