You said the URD y-pipe also rubbed in the same spot correct?
If so that's interesting. I dont know if the pre-runners cross member sits higher or if you have a motor mount sagging or what.
It will be interesting to see what clearance is like on the next pre runner.

Thanks RJB!!! Yes it seems all my weekends have been long and busy lately.
I do enjoy it though and like helping people and sharing knowledge.

    That's a sweet welding pic!

Do you have any video sound clips you can share? I really want to know how this sounds vs. the unequal length headers.

    Yup same spot.

I think my cross member is a bit higher. I could be a one-off tho. Who knows ..

I will try to get some here in the next day or so.. My setup will vary a lot from other's with this y-pipe though as my exhaust is verryyy loud. I can't even hear the S/C whine anymore, which makes me sad, as I enjoyed that

I told you man. Imagine if I hadn't talked you into that Ultaquiet resonator. It would've been insanely loud.

I think the fact that i went with a side exit before the rear tire really increases the amount of noise in the cab. Love the look though

Ok, thanks for the clarification and the pics.
My main concern is that it's not something I did incorrectly which is now confirmed not the case since you had the same issue with URD's y-pipe.

Does anyone else he have a pre runner and running the URD Y-pipe? If so do you have clearance issues?

And it's a small muffler to begin with 4x9x18" if I guessed. I'm currently using a 4x9x14 for just my resonator, that's not including the Magnaflow tank of a muffler. Sound is just about perfect now for me though.

Is your Tacoma a pre runner?
Is it rubbing the same spot as jojotoo's was in the pics?
    Race truck is 4runner correct?

Thank you VERY much for that info. Now we have confirmation of 2 pre-runners so most likely it's not an anomaly. I will have to make sure I raise the exit on the y to ensure clearance for pre-runners.
Very positive contribution to performance Tacoma's everywhere.
Thank you! And thank you @jojotoo for sharing! I wish I would have known before I made yours so I could have insured there was a bit more clearance there.

You have the afe exhaust right? That is why it is so loud, they are known for having extremely loud mufflers. Although the closer exit probably makes it slightly louder aswell.

Yes sir! That is correct. Like roost said, small muffler also doesn't help with the noise level
