Roost the legend, I love it. As for the money, I saw exactly what he goes through to do each pipe, and it is no joke. Add another four or five hundred and would be more in line with what it’s really worth. Too much attention to detail and care man. Roostfactor loves doing this, he loves it. And it shows. It was contagious. He is so happy to design, work with metal, apply his theory, talk about it, tweak it, drink, and build something that works like it’s a tuned race part. It was awesome. I can’t wait to go back!
When we attached his Y-pipe and started the engine without any exhaust whatsoever it sounded just like a full blown race engine. I reved it all the way to redline and back, it was just sweet. Completely tuned and absolutely no hiccups. Just a smooth purr throughout the range, from idle to redline to idle.

I’m not sure if I have spent more on the truck or mods and at this point I am afraid to start tallying it up. I just know this ypipe is a work of art, even more beautiful than the supercharger itself.

That is amazing! Your too much dude!!!

@5thGearPinned still has stock manifolds and it still sounds good. Of course headers are best but for Cali I dont know if I would want to swap headers/manifolds out every smog check.

Thanks Roscoe!!! I love I love it!

I believe he may be on someone's list?!

I need to get a small slab of land in another state with a mailbox so I can register my truck there.

In all seriousness, the ypipe is already not carb compliant, but they would have to look for it. Its easy enough to switch back. I’ve read the urd headers are quiet the pita to install. Would make swappjng back and forth very tedious I think. I’ll try the ypipe first and see how it goes.

Plus the stock manifolds have cats and no need for any o2 sims or ecu trickery.
Yes the headers are a fun install, just ask @White lightning boosted and @crashnburn80

Only problem is my driverside header is a botched job. The trans bracket mount doesn’t line up because the ding bats didn’t weld the cat on straight. It also causes my catback to rub on the driveshaft support bearing crossmemeber. I wonder if I should just put the stock headers back on, I have an extra set.

Road trip! I'll fix it and you wont have to pay shipping.

You'll have to send me a couple pics of how its offset. I wonder how much it will affect the angle of the y-pipe. If its tweaked how does your y-pipe bolt up to the header flange?
Do you have stock y or URD?

We need to make a fake shroud that looks like a manifold to conceal headers for our cali brothers.

Ok so stock was on there. I ended up having to cut out the studs in the header to get the ypipe off. Could not get it seperated even after cutting the nut off. Just on the drivers side, which is the side that is slightly tweaked. Passenger side came off easy peasy. The urd pipe is installed now. I could send you pics of it and you can kind of tell, it’s a few degrees off. Everything bolts up except that bracket that goes to the transmission is just off enough you cant get the bolts to go in straight.

That would be a long road trip and if I could take the time off work I would do it in a heartbeat.

I know, I've done the road trip to Victorville and Landcaster 3 times in this last year.

    Beautiful work of mechanical art.

As someone who recently destroyed their stock skids, is there adaquate clearance between the Trans and skid mount location on the cross member for the Y-pipe to cross without interference?

Did you try loosening the two bolts that hold the bracket to the transmission? There’s a little play in those holes.

When I did mine, I loosened those and re-tightened them after everything else was tightened.

I can’t get them in even. Id have to drill new holes in the bracket basically. I had to buy a new bracket and bolts because I noticed after the headers were done that driverside went missing. I know why now, its physically impossible to get them all bolted up as it sits right now :/
