Hi guys, hope someone can throw some advice my way.

i search open now with about 20 tabs of posts but cant find the real info i need.

I am super lucky and pumped my girlfriend just got me a 30 inch rough country light bar with brackets yesterday for my birthday :D:p:bananadance:

she was nervous if she got me the right one because she noticed after she got it that i had to cut out the lower plastic to fit it in the bumper as this is a "flush" style 3rd gen bumper kit and not a "stealth" bracket type.

she said i could return it and get the stealth type (cali raised is the 1st that comes to mind)

    on that note:

should i cause the hassle with my girlfriend and exchange for the Cali Raised kit with 32 "d5 combo" OSRAM LED light bar and stealth brackets

or should i stick with the 30 single row Rough Country Cree LED with "Flush" brackets and cut the bumper plastic.

i guess the MAIN thing i am trying to get at is the quality or experience anyone has between the rough country CREE LED's and Cali Raised OSRAM LED's (the d5 combo one)

quality/ light/ any opions are much appreciated.

    Thank you!!!

I have the stealth Cali mount with their spot beam bar. Bright AF. 300 watts is pretty intense. Not sure how bright the RC bar is. Some I've seen are 180watt.

cool, what made you choose the spot instead of the combo.
the combo should have a wider spread of light right?

When I ordered they were out of combo's in 32" so I thought I'd try it, and if it sucked I'd just put it on the golf cart. It's still on the truck.

The only thing I'd say about the stealth mount vs. flush is if you are concerned about the laws and want to black out the bar for on-highway use you'll need to trim the plastic out anyway. I'm not worried but just sayin...

I also have the caliraised stealth mount 5d bar and it is unbelievable. The amount of light that it produces and the quality of the light and brackets is great. I cant imagine a single row bar putting off anywhere near the light that this thing does.

i definitely think im going to go with the cali raised bar and kit.

not only does it look better behind the plastic and doesnt require cutting up the grill slats,
but its ip68 rated and the rough country is only ip67.... and i dont know if it has the GORE pressure vents like the cali raised does...
    and its the same price!!!

god damn... wish me luck with the lady in hoping she understands (this wouldnt be the first time i returned to her with a present):(... :anonymous::argue::oops::p

I have the 32 d5 combo stealth cali raised. light is badass. Bright as hell, I cannot compare to the rough country one, but I can say I am happy with mine.

The win for me is that it requires no modifications.

I almost did the single row bar. Actually is what i ordered. They did not have the single bar when i ordered. The guys at caliraised assured me that i would not be dissapointed with this bar. And man were they right. It will blind you in the daylight.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. It means a ton to us at Caliraisedled. But OP you won’t be disappointed with our 5D light bar which is around 30,000 lumens. Plus with our full kit, of 269.99 it will include, brackets, led bar and full wiring harness. I personally love the hidden look that it provides and it also doesn’t effect the light output at all. If you have any questions let us know!

OP you know this is gonna cost you, right? Returning the GF's gift is rarely advised.

    lmao... oh.. i know.. 110%

i remember a few christmas's back my girl got me a pretty good size rc helicopter. when i opened the box it was broken (used!) unfortunately.
we went to the store to find a new one in the box and i saw a drone that caught my eye :( it was a little more expensive so i offered to pay the extra for the drone after we returned the broken helicopter.
i still feel stupid to this day and am willing to bet if i bring up the LED bar tonight that day will be brought up and how fucking unappreciative i am.:(:censored:

lol... but really if you were me would you suck it up and cut your bumper and slap the rough country bar in there with a smile on your face?:p

Haha. I'm married so there's only one or two things I can do to really fuck things up. Returning a gift isn't one of them. Now that I think about it, pretty sure we don't even buy gifts for each other any longer.

Anyway, remember, only you can prevent forest fires.

One of my ex's once got me an OEM roof rack with surfboard attachments for my Honda element for my birthday. She found my car at CSUF while I was in class, installed them, and put a nice bow on top. I came out of class and just took the bow off and drove away. Didn't even notice the rack. She was watching from her car less than 100 feet away. Needless to say she was NOT happy..... But she was also nearing @kuffer14 levels of crazy, so who cares right. Just be careful OP. after almost losing Jimmy I don't think the 3rd gen guys can take another missing person thread.

They all have @kuffer14 level of crazy built in, it’s a matter of releasing it.

At least @Jimmy 123 didn’t have that working against him. But he was a cutter.

Man. That is a tough question, that only you can answer. I can't tell you about the rough country bar. I can tell you that I laugh every time I turn this bar on. It looks like the damn sun. You can not drive down the road with it on if anyone is within a 1000 yards.

so not only was she understanding but when going to check out she got a 20% off code from the wheel on caliraised website :bananadance::eek::p

and she asked me is there anything else these guys sell that you want to get for yourself ontop of the bumper kit?

so the rough country bar is going back and soon to be on the way is a d5 combo bumper stealth kit, side projecting ditch lights and brackets, relay holder, and switch panel for the 3rd gen with blue switches.

thanks for the birthday present to myself :thumbsup::D
and to you all once again!
