No not yet....I found a post on a Toyota forum that said the plate does adjust the idle. If it doesn't settle down over the next couple of weeks I'll try adjusting it. I really think the issue is I put one on meant for an automatic which probably has the factory idle set just a tad bit higher. If it was a $300 OEM part I would take it back off and exchange but for only $35 I think I'll try to adjust it first.

I will report back in a couple of weeks, I don't put many miles at all on this truck anymore so it will take awhile to figure it out.

Best of luck! Driving is crucial to idle relearn so hopefully it adjusts itself in a few weeks and isn't another issue. Will keep an eye out for your update.

Driving it hasn't fixed the odd idle issue. When I first crank it it idles fine....Even afther I have driven it. But once I start down the road and pull up to a stop sign it idles too high just a little 1000 rpm. I'm guessing it's the cheap iac valve from Amazon. I ordered one for a manual but they shipped one for an automatic.

Every time you disconnect the battery the ECU has to relearn.

You really should use the correct part. It does make a difference.

The last ebay one worked like a charm for 3 or 4 years....Just didn't get lucky with this one. I think I clean the old one and try it again.

Well I fixed it....I bit the bullet and put an OEM on it...Back running like a charm. I pick up my new Tacoma on Friday and this one is now for sale.

Believe it or not my Dad bought a 99 Tacoma with a 2.7 and is having the same issues, I googled and came up with this thread. First think I told him was put a new IAC, it still does it.
