Hi, I have a question for the group. My local dealer said they would perform the TSB springs on my '09 but cautioned me very strongly that the ride of the truck would become very very rough. Please let me know if the ride becomes alot rougher and does anyone regret having it done. Thanks.

The ride is not "rough" but more truck like , especially if you haul anything in the bed , no more bottoming out on every bump,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are the reg-cabs included on the TSB?

X2. When they did the TSB to my truck, I found the ride more compliant.

    No.

Am I drunk, or are all of the "ride" and "rough" except for the last word, in bold red?

I had the TSB done last week. I have a 2009 DC, LB.

Yes, I have found the truck to have a firmer ride now. Feeling every pot hole and even around corners bouncing sideways over potholes. Before it would handle them??

I needed it done though because I load the back up often.

Funny thing is that I also notice it harsher on the front as well but it could just be my brain over thinking....

I just checked my glass, and it is empty. So y'all are probably right. But I'm still seeing red "rides" and "rough." I'll check back after my glass empties again.

Love the ride after the TSB. On the frost heaves up here...no more bottoming out and bounce.

I have it on my 2010 and very happy with it. Like most say it rides more like a truck. That soft stuff and not being able to put a load on is not the reason I bought the truck. I need to carry stuff. Plus it gave me a slight lift.

It's a subjective judgment. I drove in mine for 8 months and would hit the bump stops occasionally with a load in the back before getting the TSB springs on the rear. You can tell a difference over bumps, potholes and ripples in the pavement. But rough??? No, I wouldn't call it rough. There's definitely no bounce to it but in my opinion that's how a truck should ride.

It's interesting, every time I come home I hit my driveway which has a 4-5º angle up from the street. As the IFS goes over it feels kind of like a wave rolling under the front of the truck, a bit mushy even. But when the rear (with TSB springs) goes over it all I get is a solid "thump, thump" from the rear wheels. Much better, IMO. Time for a SAS? :D
