Tried swapping around coil packs? Sometimes changing around firing order on a bad pack can change behavior which would indicate if one needed to be replaced.

IDK if you know how lucky you R lol!
Dealers don't usually bother with issues like this, they rather just repllace something they know is bad.
This is very time comsuming work and at shop labor rates well over $$100 an hr. it's not profitable to engage in guess work.

Having said that I can't tell you how many times an issue like this turned out to be something simple such as a bad battery or poor terminal contact.

Hope they get you right, and share with the TW comunity the issue casing the fault, as it may help the next guy who may not be so lucky to have a dealer willing to help out

    Cheers

Honestly I may have not pushed the issue if not for some comments on this thread. I agree that I am pretty lucky the 2nd dealership pushed pretty hard and opened a case with Toyota. Opening the case is Most likely why they are continueing to resolve the problem. Hopefully I can post a nice [resolved] on the title of the thread soon. I’ll keep everyone updated.

Said all of them. Toyota Corp said pressure is leaking from somewhere. They originally thought it was the tank fuel pump. I guess the other end of that line are the injectors...

Nice! Now, get them to change the oil too because you were dumping fuel into your cylinders. With injector insulator that sounds like they replaced the direct injectors, not port injectors.

They got you going, awesome dealership!

That seems to be a rare issue at least to me, I don't recall seeing many complaints on it as the system is pretty robust and proven.

    Thanks for the update
    Cheers

Digging up an old thread. I just had this issue once, at some other times it seem like a weak crank indicating a possible battery issue. How reliable was this to repeat and has anyone else had this exact issue?

I have the same issue and have a new battery. The weather here changed drastically and I started getting the problem again. I am going to attempt the stealership route and see how that goes.

    not enough.

huh. I just now experienced this. i have 95k miles on 17 trd-or. It happened 3 separate times over the weekend. My buddy and I figured it was some fuel system issue. possibly leaking somewhere.

Is replacing the injectors the known fix? Wondering how hard it is to replace the injectors on these trucks and if I could just do them myself.

I am also curious that maybe I got some subprime fuel somehow and that's causing startup issues. :/ I'll have to get some good fuel through and see if taht helps.

Replacing injectors is easy however, it didn’t fix my issue.
I’m 46% sure that mine was fixed by a new mass air flow sensor.
I was Shotgunning parts at the time.
Was not injectors or fuel pump for me,
    for sure.
Good luck and let us know

Hmm...I'm about to start shotgunning parts really soon. This is really annoying. Happened about an hour ago. It's really inconsistent. The truck will sit overnight and start without issue...then it'll sit for like 2 hours and then have trouble starting.

I'm gonna clean the MAF sensor here in a little bit. maybe that'll help. I have to replace my spark plugs here pretty soon anyways so maybe i'll do that a little sooner than not.
