    Dying to get out and try this stupid Mid-Traveled 5 lug out, see what she can actually do now. I had this neat little dream while on mini-vacation this weekend. Dreamed I was able to drive up a decent little embankment on the other side of where I was parked. It was a fun dream.

    Haha that's what I did this past weekend. Only problem is I'm a fan of controlled driving and 2wd usually means more speed or more gas and both those things usually get u broke parts. Not cool. Lol

    And I'm sure that thing will do fine. I seen you talkin about it in the Mid Travel thread. You are 2wd right? Locker?

    Locker, no.

    Worst of the worst, but I've wheeled a few little areas stock where the truck performed well for what it is. Personally think that a 4x2 base Taco will still outperform any other small/compact 4x2 base truck offering from GM, Ford, Dodge.

    Stock....Did well out @ Bills 491 for the most part, got high centered in a creek. Got back to where the 4x4 trails started down in Slade, KY. Best run was a snow run to date. Ended up losing traction near the end, but banged that shit around in some snow.

    Would highly enjoy getting out to a place where I can actually ride the truck for a while instead of doing some piddly 10 minute shit then hopping in a 4x4 and being a passenger. Why I think I'm gonna go to that VA meet instead of Rausch, I can't do shit at Rausch with my truck.

    One day I'll take my truck out in the dez and mob it, like a 4x2 truck is supposed to be mobbed. :)

    I should have put the word "dream" in " " in my previous post. Kinda like one of those hypothetical "Hypothetically speaking of course" situations.....:rolleyes:

    What the fuck, I'll tell the long story.

    Worked at Jiffy Lube for a couple years, was an assistant manager, not a total grease monkey by the time I quit. Fell in love with the 2nd gen Taco's while working there. Sexy as hell, easy to work on. Talked of how I wanted one one day, boss always replied they were to nice for me. What a dick. :rolleyes:

    Started work in a real shop, had a manger who was a Yota nut and did major off-roading at one time. Told stories of a built ass Suk that he wheeled. Did a head gasket job on a 89 Cressida. Fuckin' hooked on Toyota after that.

    Had been driving around in a Blazer for 2 years and was getting tired of it's shit. Wanted to dump it before it became a huge problem. Took some work on the wife but finally got her to let me dump the Blazer and get the cheapest 2nd Gen Taco I could find.

    Found a 08 4x2 base Taco for 12,500 from CarMax. Had it shipped from Wisconsin or something.

    It was a very "take what I could get" kind of thing. Beggers don't have much chance to be choosers either.

    But I had me a motherfuckin TOYOTA TACOMA. I was so fuckin' stoked.

    THEN I WENT TO A MEET

    More to come about how I feel about the whole 4x2 situation, 3 years after the fact of purchase and discovering wheeling....
