Anyone know the height inside a third gen with the cap on? Bed to roof interior. Wondering how much vertical space I’ll have for storage once my cap gets here

Order update - my order has been "partially shipped". I am assuming that means the EVOs is making it's way over.

 

Newby here. I have the same question, but cannot find the answer anywhere on this forum. Anyone know? Thanks in advance - our Smart cap is getting installed in a few days!

 

Correct Covers came in today and they look well made, seals better than the repurposed covers previously used.

Previously provided cover from rsi (made for a different lock and required modification). Still let’s water in btw


New covers made specifically for these locks by the lock manufacture (also provided by rsi).





not only does it look better/fit better, the material is a better/thicker quality and the seal from the top lid/flap is solid

 

Hello! Looks like my SmartCap will arrive by the end of the month! I have an Ikamper mini that needs to go on top of the SmartCap. Does anyone have recommendations on SmartCap rack systems that will hold the weight. Im thinking a prinsu, sherpa, martin OR, yakima, or a front runner system. Does anyone have experience with any of the above? Id like to mount an awning to it at some point as well.

Currently the tent is sitting on front runner load bars over my bed as a cheap, temporary solution and they chirp like a bird is behind me on dirt roads.

We have installed all but the martin. The front runner tray uses the same feet as the load bars we sell. I will post up some picture here in a bit.

 

We are finally starting to see caps come in. We have 5 ft Tacoma EVOA's available for the end of July shipment.

Curious, when did you place your order? I have had some frustrating experiences with communication with OA regarding my order so I’m trying to get a rough timeline of where I am at haha

 

I went with RSI Load Bars. I just use whats made for the cap so I don't need to deal with modifications and fitment etc. But that's just me.

 

How do you get these caps cover? After a year of owning this cap, I've noticed the water gets inside the bed through the locks.
