Just thought y'all might want to know, all RTIC products are discounted on their site right now, always nice to have a good cooler for the trail, even better when it's cheep.

I have no affiliation with the brand and if I'm breaking any rules please inform me and move/delete thread as necessary.

I had bought a yeti early Christmas gift to myself a year ago, then two weeks later work gave us all RTICs as a late Christmas gift.

Wouldn't have bought the Yeti had I got the RTIC first but since I had both I did a little science experiment.

Put 7 ice cubes in each left them both outside on the porch average temp was 70deg f came back after 24hrs and measured temps with a fluke IR thermometer, both were in the high 20deg f both had a tini spec of ice floating in the water, although the RTIC was a degree or two cooler.

Hardly a perfect experiment but it proved to me they were damn near equivalent.

Personally I prefer the RTIC for the sole reason that the base of their tumblers are squared edged vs the round edge of the YETI, in short they don't tip over as easy.

The YETI accessories are interchangeable too, I'm using a Yeti straw lid and handle. I like the YETI handle on the RTIC since it fits lower on the body not up near the rim as the RTIC is slightly thicker bodied.

    Awesome deal!

Looks like Orion Coolers (no personal affiliation) are also doing 20% off their 2017 colors, was surprised this consisted of quite a few color and size options.

    https://orioncoolers.com/categories/shop/2017-colors.html?utm_source=2018 02 19 Store Update&utm_medium=store banner&utm_campaign=2017 color sale

Obviously this RTIC deal will probably be better for most, just thought I'd throw this out there for anyone that was dead set on Orion and waiting for a deal before the summer hits.

Ordered one on Tuesday. Got free shipping and no tax somehow. Hey I'll take it! I've been waiting for a Tan 45 for about 1.5 years now. Wanted it for a week long overland trip last summer but they didn't have any in stock.

So glad I ran across this post. Thought the yeti 65 on sale at REI for $279 was a steal but after reading reviews on the RTIC as well as being almost $100 bucks less I am stoked. Let the wait begin.

i just got the RTIC email today and am happy to see there's already a thread about the sale.

    i have a 20 and i'm looking at a 45 or 65. leaning toward the larger one.

My 65 just arrived. It's pretty big. I think it'll be the perfect size on the inside for what I'll use it for. I didn't have anyone in my area selling Rtic, so I looked at the size of the Yeti 65 in person before buying. They're really close to the same size if you're just wanting to compare.

Does anyone know what this plug is for? I have plugs on both sides and they seem to close just fine. This was sitting in there loose. I can push it though either plug, so I'm guessing it's used for something else?

Are these legit? Really want to pull the trigger on the 65! Also, anyone with experience on the 16oz tumbler? Looking for something with a good spill that won't spill when riding our city bicycles.

Yes they're legit, wonderful alternative to a yeti. Great bang for buck. I have the 40 ounce tumbler at work and it keeps water cold all day long
