RTT and Bed Rack Storage: A Solution

    If you're like my wife and I, we wanted an RTT but didn't quite have the space for a 250lb giant object in our garage or anywhere else in the house....not that I was interested in moving 250lbs anywhere further than the garage. In any event, it was a real show stopper for us. Until I found the Racor PHL-1R Pro Heavy lift. It's not a very expensive lift but it seems perfect for the purpose. Holds 250lbs and installation is pretty easy; just make sure you hit studs with EVERY lag bolt. For $150 it's hard to beat. It comes with a steel grate platform that we didn't end up using. We just used the cross bars to thread under the bed rack to lift it up.

    Weight limit is 250lbs. Not stoked that I'm asking it to lift its upper limit but I'm at least somewhat comforted in the fact that I can subtract the weight of the lift grate that we aren't using.

    And it's not fallen yet!
