    Hello -

I just purchased an 08' Tacoma Pre-Runner 4DR. I'm looking to put some running boards as well as a tonneau bed cover. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to buy these at a reasonable price?

Auto-Anything and Ebay both tend to have good options. Auto-Anything regularly has discounts deals that may make them cheaper too..

Use the search feature on the forum - located in the blue bar up towards the top right of the forum. There's tons of threads already out there for what you're looking for.

You've gotta give us more details on what you're looking for.

Running boards? Round tubes? Flat? Black? Silver? Do you offroad? etc etc

Tonneau covers? Are you looking for a hard or soft cover? Snaps? Folded? rolling? custom color? etc etc.

I really like the tubular bars, the problem that i'm having though is that i don't know what color (chrome or black) will look best on my vehicle. I uploaded a picture of it and can't seem to decide which will be best.
Personally I think that chrome will be too much with the red color of the truck. If I go with black, it will match the other black items that are on the exterior of the truck (rear bumper, top of truck bed, door handles, etc.) I think it would look really good, but again....can't decide.

As for the bed cover, I'm quite sure that i want the tri fold tonneau cover for the back. But, I want to make sure that it is 1) easy to install with little modification to the bed rails in place 2) that it is easy to work with in the event i have to put something in the back of the truck 3) most importantly, I want the bed cover to be as weather proof as possible.
I like the tri-fold covers because they are hard, durable and foldable to make room for cover. I'm not opposed to looking at a soft tonneau cover, but feel as if it is cheap and won't last as long.

My other half's father has a soft cover with the latches that hook under the bed rails, which is nice, but he got his truck from the dealer brand new and was able to get the cover thrown in at no cost. (he's a good negotiatior)
I know what the dealer will get for the soft cover whic is why i'm not going the dealer route.

Do you know of any soft covers with the latches that hook under the bed rails?

Like I said about the running boards, I like the round tubes, but are open for suggestions on what will look best.
