It was only a matter of time before Project Farm came out with a comparison video. Here it is for what it is worth! The main caveat of course is that it doesn't show long term use but you definitely get a pretty good idea from this video.

    Very interesting post, thank you.
I have used the Rust Re-former paint on a couple of projects. None of the metal was exposed to anything but what low speed general usage and nature shoved at it. One was a galvanized hanging barn door frame and rollers all of which had some minor rusting and stops, scrapped, "pickled" with 12% vinegar, washed and then sprayed. (I used new stainless lag screws to reinstall.) The other was two tractor fenders, just scraped, washed, then painted.

It did quite well on both, it has been on both through two winters and two summers. - no rust But, as I say, neither project experienced anything at all like video or a Tacoma on the road. I'd use the Rust Re-former again on another "nature only" project.

This was my first experience with the site Project Farm. Have you used it for other things and found it to be reliable?

Project Farm is a guy who runs experiments on his farm with various products. He started out by testing random things to see how they'd run a lawnmower. After a while that turned into viewer suggested comparisons and he comes up with tests he feels are the most fair. He has a ton of great comparisons!

I've used both Ospho and recently, at work, POR's 'Defender II' product. Wonder how they match up. Great video and test methods for comparison.

I've used POR-15 for years with good success. Used it on my BJ 40 25 years ago and it stopped the rust in it's tracks.

I just used their gas tank sealer on an old flat track motorcycle gas tank. Looks good...have another 48 hours of drying time to go before it's totally cured.
