Rust on drivers door jam. HELP!

    Not sure what you cleaning regimen consists of but if you don't dry and clean your door jambs after a wash the moisture hangs out for a while. I am sure it is worse in Florida. I may go overboard with cleaning but I blow out these spots with compressed air. Still though, this is not typical considering the age of the truck. Thanks for the heads up. I hope you get it under control.

    I would be concerned, it appears to lack proper anti-corrosion (galvanizing, or whatever they do these days). This isn't acceptable on a Toyota, I've seen many Dodge/Chrysler vehicles with rust the first year where they are scratched (you get what you pay for). What's a big concern is that the paint wasn't even damaged where the rust is at. Good luck and keep after them until they come up with a good solution.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
    I'd try a different dealer and body shop. Pretty obvious the initial shop did a poor job in assessing and treating the issue. You may also go get a few quotes from independent shops and tell Toyota you are going there. Dealer-based body shops are just flat out terrible.
