    I ran the hose thru the brake line loop and on the outside of the frame away from the exhaust. Worked well. Thanks

    If u screw up a few of the clips that hold the shield on here is the Napa Balkamp part number for ones that work better. 665-2868.

    I have under coated my truck the past 2 winters (from new) almost a necessity in upstate NY winters. I also plan on keeping my truck a looonnnggg time. This is my first (TW) mod. Would have never expected this at all. Thanks for the write-up!

    Some of that isn’t rust, its weld spatter that didn’t take too well to the paint. For mine, I painted over these areas. For rust spots, I dabbed rust reformer on them, the next day I painted them over. Then fluid filmed everything.

    Got this done today. About 1700 miles and didn’t see any rust yet, but for ~$4 in parts and 30 minutes of time it was an easy preventative.

    I didn’t end up using zip ties and tried following the routing in the OP, doesn’t seem like it will move around much there, but I’ll keep an eye on it for the first few days

    I just did mine today! Only 800 miles on the truck now so hopefully no rust up there, couldn't really tell as I did it from below, but I felt up there and it was wet so I'm sure glad I stumbled on this forum. :)
