    Hey guys,

I swear that every rock on the highway has me targeted and I have a cracked windshield to prove it.

Anyways, I have a few chips in my fender and sides which is to be expected I guess. However when I was detailing it today I had noticed a few areas where the metal was exposed from rock chips and rust has settled in.

I was wondering what might be the best steps for me to take to stop the corrosion from spreading before I seal it in with some touch-up paint or something. Forgive me for such a silly question but I'm still kind of a noob on this lol

    Thanks all!

Take it to the dealer and have them look at it. You shouldnt have rust on a new truck.

Use Extend. It's made by Loctite. It makes a chemical reaction with the rust and actually kills it!Ive used it many times ,it works well.

I'll have to look into getting Extend, and give that a try. Can it be found at a local Auto parts store? I think I will also wet sand it like jhode83 mentioned.

    Thanks guys

Does not even look like they used primer on your truck! That is right to the metal. One hell of a rock! Don't feel so left out about rock chips! I just got one two days ago!

Yes follow Chris's advice, to the dealer. I believe we have a 60 month unlimited mile corrosion warranty.
