Hey fellas. This is the first time Iv'e been on any forum. So bare with me. My wife bought a 99 tacoma almost 3 years ago. About a month ago i realized the fame was ready to have an inspection done for the buy back program. To make a long story short, toyota isnt buying the truck back. So know I have a rusted frame under an almost perfect body. We are buying a 2010 Tacoma for her, and im gonna make the 99 my daily driver/weekend rig. Wondering if anyone knows what year frames will fit under the 99 extra cab body. Or if anyone has suggestions. I need some help!!! Thanks guys!

Maybe try TTORA. Seems like the 1st gen guys over there might know a thing or two about swapping frames. How bad is the rust? Can you cut it out and patch it?

I believe you need to get another 1995.5-2004 extra cab frame if you want a bolt on application. the 2001-2004 double cab is the same length but I think the mounting brackets are different for it so that would require some fab work, still possible though.

Good luck and yeah, check out TTORA for more info.
