Anything can be fixed with a good enough welder...just gotta find the right person to do it. @Wyoming09 fixes up frames and might have some advice on your situation

Only you know what you want to do replace or build a new frame or sell as is.

    Where does the truck live??

Then what is the rest of the truck like kinda dumb if it needs a total rebuild suspension brakes etc Time for a timing Belt??

Put $10,000.00 into plus new paint and body work if you like paint

Western part of Virginia, close to Harrisonburg truck. It needs a lot of new things but my main worry is the frame

The $10,000.00 figure was pretty much rebuilding the bottom of the truck .

Then with these jobs you really don`t know what your getting into until the prep work starts and you find out just how bad things are

For whatever it's worth, the frame that Toyota put on my truck was made by Metalsa Structural Products of Owesboro Kentucky. Maybe you can buy direct from them.

Toyota’s recall coverage of frames has expired right? I’ll have to sell my truck as much as I like it if it’ll be that expensive

It never was a recall. It was an extended warranty. It is expired for your truck. It's still available for some 2004 model year trucks (give or take). I have no idea how much it costs to buy the frame directly, or if that's even possible. I was just suggesting a possible alternative. It's totally up to you if it's worth the cost and labor. Sorry about your truck.

That's wrong, too. 15 years from date of first use. And it available to all US trucks, not just trucks in "North States", which Toyota calls Cold Weather States. The trucks in the cold weather states also have to have been inspected and treated by Toyota by a specific date in order for the warranty to remain valid. The trucks not in cold weather states don't have the inspection/coating requirement.

Yeah, I’ll be without it for at least a week until the part comes in so I have to drive a Nissan car. I suppose I’ll update this thread when the part comes in.

OME, SPC UCA, ARB w/warn 10K winch, TG Rock Defense Rear, Marlin Clutch, Custom hi clearance under bed spare mount. 285/75/16. A ton of repairs done and a list up to come modifications.
FYI a double cab frame and a extended cab frame are very similar. you just need to cut off 2 bed mounts and 2 cab mounts. You can order new bed and cab mounts from a Toyota dealer.

That is just how the lack of information to the local Toyota dealers was.

Then things might have changed since it all started This is what I was told by my Local Dealers Service Manager after buying parts for like my 4th Tacoma Frame Repair

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I thought the frames were made by Dana Corp. which is now defunct due to having paying out huge lawsuit money over these frames from Toyota? As I understood it, Toyota sued the crap out of them and used that money to pay for frame replacements and or buybacks.

I did not order one, toyota did for me, they actually just received it, im rushing to get my clutch done to get it down there. But I do think you can literally order a frame through camelback and it is around 4 grand.
