Rusting Bumper on 2010 DC OR

The bumper on my 2010 DC OR tacoma was rusting pretty bad. Anyone else experiencing similar problems? I just took it into the dealership today and they had only had one additional instance of premature bumper rust. Fortunately they agreed to order me a new black one to replace the rusted chrome one. I never liked the chrome bumper on my MGM anyways...

 

Yeah i have the same truck and mine rusted and the dealer is giving me the run around saying they don't know if its covered under warranty. Such BS since my truck only has 3000 miles on it.

Note that the BUMPER to BUMPER warranty is valid for 3 yrs/36,000 mi and very likely includes the BUMPER.

 

It's definitely covered by the warranty...

 

Haha yeah thats what i thought. If i was able to be at the dealer with my truck im sure it would be different but since im 120 miles away and the only way for me to get there is by boat or plane they give me the run around.

Yeah had my 2010 chrome bumper replaced on Monday because of rust.

 

New black bumper arrived at the dealership on Wednesday but it had some scratches on it from the cardboard box that it was shipped in. The dealer is going to cover the costs to have the bumper color matched to my MGM. This is going to look great. Can't wait! I'll post some pics when it's done. Thanks Toyota...
