I'm borrowing a buddies 16ft funrunner toyhauler to go up to zion national park this weekend. He's never hooked up to a site before and has no idea how to hook up. So I figure I'll ask you guys.

    1. At the pottable water connections there are two ports. One large and one small. Is the large to fill the fresh water tank? Is the small to run pressurized water off the site? Do I need a pressure reducer if running off the site? If so, what psi?

    2. Is the water heater automatic? I didn't see any on/off switches. Furnace works, so assume the water heater works as well.

    Thanks.

    Hey Zac,

description of the water fill sounds about right. The big one is gravity fill for the onboard tank. The hose connection is for city water from the site.

Hard to say on the water heater. May with electronic ignition have a small 12v switch with an indicator light next to it. You turn it on (after you are sure there is water in the tank. Open the hot valve at sink and run until a steady stream.) If the light comes on after three trys to ignite. there is a failure in the system. If light stays off you are good to go. Depending on age of trailer it may be a manual that requires you to light the pilot from outside. Although those have not been around for 10+ years.

    Hope this helps.
