RVM's Superwhite DCSB 4X4 OR Udated Updated Build

Well... Since I didn't do a very good job of documenting / keeping up with my build page I thought I would condense it into a more manageable format from start to where it sits now.

So... with that said. Let's begin

On 10/23/2013 I decided to trade my 2011 PreRunner on this truck. I really have no idea why but I just felt the need to buy a new truck. The only thing that I ever really regretted about my PreRunner was I wish that I would have bought a 4x4 at the time. I bought this truck with the intention of building it up to run the trails in the San Juan Mountains / Alpine Loop in Colorado. So with that said I bought a Loaded 2013 Off Road with every option on the list.

Prioritize brother

 

How did you finish the Pelfrey aluminum bumper? Looks great.

 

Originally I considered powder coating but was afraid that it wouldn't match the color of the truck. I've got a paint shop that I have used many times throughout the years and although our paint code is 040 that doesn't always mean it will match up exactly. They brought out a color swatch and matched the paint that was on the truck to the bumper and it matched perfectly. I've gotten to know the guy that paints all my stuff so we have a pretty good working relationship. He said the hardest part was painting the inside of the "fog light" housing. He started from the back of the bumper and then moved to the front. It turned out perfect. They also gave me the left over paint should I need to touch up if I get a nick in the paint. Powder Coating is much harder to touch up than regular paint.

End the end I wanted something different than everyone else does. I could have easily painted it black but I go for subtlety and I want you to look at my truck and think.... why didn't I do that instead?

 

How did you white out the taillights?

I think some of the local guys are trying to go down there/ozarks sept 4-6 if youre interested at all

 

There are but I refuse to put "pinstripes" on my truck. I'm not into mudding either. I'm building the truck for Colorado since we will be moving there soon.

Pinstripes are part of it! I just got plenty of them this past week.

Your truck is coming along really nicely. I like your taste in subtly mods. I got to say my fav one is the Pelfrey bumper especially the color match touch to it. Nice job. From another SuperWhite owner, I hope to follow your lead in mods in the future. Next up for me is wheels and tires. Then suspension .
P.s. Yours and StillWill got to be my fave SuperWhite tacos.

If I had to do it again I think I would have gone with SCS Wheels. I love the wheels on my truck but I "personally" like the look of the SCS better.
