I too would love a photo of the springs installed for TSB replacements. I am still waiting for the springs as I was told they are on "backorder" and they have no idea when they will arrive. I want to make sure, that when they do "arrive" that they put the correct springs on my truck and not just waiting a while and then putting the wrong ones on to make me go away.

So my TSB recall springs are in. going to take off my air bags over the Christmas weekend. If you are looking for a cool and up to speed dealer services rep. Rick Goetjen HB Toyota is good. He has a Tacoma and knows all about the recall. unlike the rest of the numnuts.

Full report after install with photos next week.

How long did it take them to get the springs? I am still waiting for mine from Keyes Toyota of Van Nuys.

It was a couple months. I finally got frustrated with my original service advisor and called Toyotas hotline. Then change my service advisor and he pushed the parts department to order them. Long story short The parts manager did not want to get stuck with the springs if I decided not to have them done. "or so i have been told" new service advisor is pretty cool. He also has the TSB springs. His set came in this week for his truck.

My old service of visor was lazy and was not helping me.

Airbags reinstalled truck rides great again. Updated technical service Springs/Canada Mexico rate are great just by themselves also. I'm ready to start towing again.

I requested my springs 6 months ago... before the springs arrived I was sent to the Middle East... hopefully they still have them when I get back... which is getting close :bananadance:

If you're still waiting for Springs I would definitely fight for the stiffer springs. And go ahead and get some airbags if you plan on using your truck for towing or hauling .

I got the recall springs a few weeks ago and my trucks rear sags a lot! I had two people in the back seat of my DCSB and it was bottoming out pretty easily.

What's the best, highest quality fix for this? I don't do a lot of towing. Just wheeling around.

Bring the Truck back to he Dealer - get two techs to sit in the back and a few in the Bed. If the bump stops hit the frame tell them to fix it.

I'm searching through this thread looking for the letter attached. Can someone point me to the post? I have all my documentation and need to submit for reimbursement. However, I can't find the letter that I received with the info....specifically the address of where to send it.

Ok, so I broke down and called. Looks like the address for reimbursement is different than what I found online. The address that the CS Rep gave me is:

Toyota Customer Experience Center - TRR
    Toyota Motor Sales USA, Inc
    PO BOx 259001-Reimbursement Request
    Plano, TX 75025-9001

I'm guessing it has to do with them relocating US HQ to Texas. Either way, glad to have that done.

I'd like to thank you for posting this Info. Although I do not need the information - all too often posters ask for help with an issue and once solv ed do not bother to post the solution to others here that are trying to help.

Thank you! And good luck with your refund.

I just bought a 2006 Tacoma and am curious, how do I know if this TSB has already been done on my truck? Is there a specific number I should look for on the leaf springs? Haven't had anything in the bed yet, but will being loading two dirt bikes in it this weekend. If it squats like crazy I'm assuming that means they haven't been replaced yet?

Call a dealership and ask? They should be able to look it up by the VIN.
