Take a look. Super easy to check. Pull up side trim and you can see right there.

It's a super easy thing to check, for me it got a little harder when I had to all the way to the transmission tunnel to check for more.

When I pulled up the carpet I found salt along the whole front seat mounting beam, and all under the floor vent tube. Nothing behind the front seat mounting beam.

Sounds like a VERY bad sealing job on the underside of the body joints. There is a thread here talking about it.

Some guys have caulking sealant that looks like it was done by a 2 yr. old.

Mine looks Picaso did it himself....a thing of beauty.

There are alot of joints on the underside that are only half sealed, not sure if the whole things should be sealed or not.

Liquid salt mixed with melting snow gets splashed up in every crack and crevice underneath the truck .

I bet if you look at your under seams, they will look like hell and be missing caulk in some areas.

Crawl under another truck to compare. I've blown the pic away that I had taken for this old thread that I cannot find the thread either. It was a couple of yrs. ago.

The difference between trucks was unbelievable.!!

Update, Toyota won't do anything about it. If I want it even looked at, it's on me.

any connections with local TV? If you pay to have it looked at, will they pay you back when its found to be their fault?

Yeah, if they find a defect causing it, then they will pay. Until then I have to pay. So I will find it myself, then bring it to them.
