Congrats on the finished project! Looks great. I Ike that you have storage under the compressor for the air line. And kudos for getting the air line tucked in between the frame and gas tank where you did. I tried but had to move further back to get in.

Looks great and your air up time is pretty good too!

Thank you. It was lots and lots of work.

I spent almost an hour trying to run the hose through the frame and gas tank, then trying to grab ahold of the end so I could attach it to the quick connect. I think I pinched a nerve in my wrist doing so.

The Speed Bleeder for my slave cylinder arrived today. I'll mess with it this weekend.

The Speed Bleeder didn't work well on the slave cylinder. I bled the system three times in two days and every time it blew bubbles. I used up a 12oz bottle of fluid doing this. It's like air kept getting sucked in with every stroke. The clutch action felt so bad today that I have to put the original screw back in tonight. :annoyed:

All finished up, but I'm sure if I like it. Maybe I'll get used to it.

I hated this setup. It was ugly as hell, terribly difficult to bolt up, and the bolts in the back made contact with the framework causing a rattle.

Now I'll try this setup (makes more sense), but I have other ideas wandering around in my brain.

    Thanks man.

About six months ago I figured it was time to start doing some work.

Congrats on the baby girl. That's awesome!

I've had my bumper sitting in my garage for more than a year, and I finally installed it today.

3:00pm - picked up the bumper from PC
4:00pm - started teardown of OEM bumper
    7:00pm - all done

    20160711_200821.jpg

    20160711_195416.jpg

    Pelfreybilt hybrid - 107.5 lbs
    OEM bumper - 28 lbs
Net change in weight - 79.5 lbs

    Suspension only dropped 1/4" - 3/8"

I need to do some blackout painting, but I couldn't wait another moment to install.

Here are some videos I took today of my drivetrain today.

Driver side motor mount. I don't know what normal movement is, but this looks excessive.

Looking toward the rear from the carrier bearing mount.

    Front suspension from driver side.

I forgot to comment on how awesome your new bumper looks. Looks great!

What's up with your drive line?

Are you chasing down that clunk sound in the front suspension?

I might know someone in the forum who could look at the motor mount video and advise if normal...

Thanks. I still can't believe I let it sit on my garage floor for a year. I go outside every evening and just stare at it.

I have a take-off vibe (I'm pretty much ok with it). Just taking a look at it. Kind of cool to see it in motion. It looked fine to me. Even the carrier bearing looked good. I think stuffing the rubber tubing inside the housing is probably the best mod out there.

Yeah, looking for anytthing abnormal. Looked fine to me other than grease seeping from the ball joints, but I don't think it's causing issues today.

Definitely, I would like someone knowlegeable to look. I thought about opening a thread, but I didn't want advice from someone that doesn't know.

Thanks for your input, and like everyone else, I'm eagerly awaiting your vacation report.

Would either of you care to comment on Sam's Motor mount video? What is normal for acceptable movement?
