No, I haven't gotten my rear shocks in yet.
But I'm getting new tires here in the next month or so! And yeah, I'm going to have to install a toytec AAL as well.

Ok, got it aligned.. everything is within spec except for caster.. drives straight, let go of the wheel and it still goes straight. Camber is in spec and will NOT kill the tires (my main concern), but it feels different now.. yeah, yeah.. it's a lift and will feel different.. that is not what I mean. In my Hands through the steering wheel, there is a little... um.. shudder when hitting bumps and cracks in the road.. not major, I just feel it now where I didn't used to.

Can someone with a lift confirm this is normal? I guess it best described the Steering wheel jiggles (like something might be loose) when I cross a bump or crack in the road at freeway speeds. Sorry to be a Puss, I am new to this.. :)

Ok, cool.. guess that is normal when you change your angles.. I figured without changing the tires it would not be amplified that much.. Oh well.

Once you get more rubber on the ground (32's or something) it might dampen this allot... At least that's what I'm hoping for! Haha

Thanks BlancoTaco.. Some good information below. Cut and Paste from http://www.tacoma-upgrade.com/2009/...an-emu-spring-rates-and-lift-height.html#more

The 884 and 885 run the same rate at 590lbs/in with the 886 coils bumped to 660 lbs/in. Length is as follows:

    OME884 390mm, 590lbs/in, 1 inch of lift
    OME885 395mm, 590lb/in, 1.5 to 2 inches of lift
    OME886 402mm, 660lbs/in, 2.5-3+ inches of lift
Factor TRD Tacoma springs, 14 inches long, 540lbs/in, 0 lift

These springs should only be run with the OME N140S shock; the factory Tokico and Bilstein units will not last with these springs due to their increased spring rate and length. The 886 springs are only recommended for trucks with heavy front bumpers and armor (skid plates).

American Racing Mojave Teflons wrapped with 265/70/16 Pathfinder AT. NST Lite Pulleys
def get the rear ones off.

i have grooves down past the painted plastic.
(will put some pics up this evening)

you may already have some scaring on the front because, if you have ever seen a Tacoma going down the highway, the front flaps are bent way back by the air pressure.

(sorry, nothing to do with the lift...)

The OEM springs are in fact 540# rate :)

Keep in mind, this is a little out datted info. The lift heights are more for the 884's and 885's.

gee wiz Chris, no your welcome? :) You have been answering my dumb questions for more than a year.. I finally did the lift after buying a 4x4.. :D

Thanks for your input/correction.. I felt it relevant seeing as how I have read all the OME posts and had not come across it yet.

RED RAIDER, do you have pics of your install afterwards?? I would love to see the angles and your.. "bolt" job.

    FYI

ok, without the LR UCA and 3"+ of lift, I am:

Camber Left .5 Camber Right .6 Spec range -0.3 to 1.2
Caster Left .9 Caster Right 1.1 Spec range 1.4 to 2.9
    Toe 0 Toe .02 Spec range -0.04 to .07

Caster adjustment is Maxed out on the Left side.

Technically within spec, but there is a funny feeling in the steering wheel. Not sure how to describe it, at freeway speeds when I hit bumps or cracks in the road the wheel feels "jiggly".. (you only feel it in the steering wheel). I am told (thanks Silverback and Chris 4x4) with the LR UCA, this will be fixed.

Will post my "After" measurements when I get them delivered and installed.
