Any San Diego folks suggest a shop in east county to install an ARB rear locker in a 1st gen Tacoma? I can install the compressor and wiring.
I have not ordered it yet but they come with a free compressor (for now) and having a hard time justifying the cost. Buy once cry once I guess.
BTW: I already sent speed freak a message through his web site a few days.

Here's a thread asking for locker advice. I realize there's limited 1st gens in this thread though ;)

Haha, I know you could. Dont mean to cockblock ya at all. I went back to MIT because I had a great experience with them years ago on a regear.

BTW. What you want for replacing both sides cv's on a second gen? Can you source parts or suggest where? Not cheap ones, factory reconditioned preferable.

I heard they don't make cv's anymore. You're going to have to SAS it when yours break.

Yours having issues? Your truck is so new....
I can get brand new units with warranty for pretty cheap, no real good line on rebuilt ones I trust though. But I can swap out both sides while you wait.

$100 total labor, I will check my pricing in the morning on my axles for you and hit you back.

For my pops truck. 2006. He replaced one side with some off brand and got about 30k out of it, the other side is factory and is now giving up as well, got 130k on that one. Been at about +2.5" most of its life. Just boots but once you're in there mind as well do the whole shaft assembly

Oh OK got it, I will check my source in the morn..we can also spread the boot so it doesnt rub on itself and wear out prematurely.
And yeah swapping boots is a pain having to repack and reboot the axle, messy as hell.

I dont know how long the boots on my axles will get but hopefully more than 30k...

Hey guys I'm pretty new on TW and wanted your opinion on where to go to install LR UCA and ICON stage 2 suspension. I would do it myself but I'm gonna end up screwing something up. Thanks!!!
