Very true. Big blingin wheels look great but they just dont work for off road. End result is your tires suck. Id say get some 16's with 33's or get used to watching people go up hills

Tacobo, you just need to pick up a small compressor that clips onto the battery to re-fill your tires quickly... They are $50-$80...

Drop your big tires to 10-15 psi and play all day on that sand dune.

I love being in glamis and seeing jacked up fords and chevys with the 20" rims buried right up to their drop brackets. The whole truck is shaking like a mofo but nothing is happening. Then I drive by in 2wd

I have LT firestone at's. It has a stiffer sidewall than stock. Manual trans, 4cyl, reg cab. I can climb hills fast or creep with no problems. I air down. It didn't matter what the sand conditions were. Packed, loose, ruts, didn't matter, I had no problems in 4hi or lo. 2wd... not so much.
I go easy on the gas while climbing. Dig a little=dig alot.

Thats good advice. You cant "stab" the gas. You need to be smooth with it. Once you start to dig it only gets worse

I took mine to the sand last weekend and needed to keep the rpm's up to make any hills.

Air down to 10-15 psi and pin the throttle.

Then add this to air back up:

I did just this- picked up a small compressor at harbor freight and carry it at all times. I've got the Mickey Baja ATZs (285/70R17s) and really love them. I used them in some really soft sand and got stuck at full psi in them. After airing down to 18 I didn't get stuck the rest of the day- and that was half way through the day. The rest of the day was just pure fun without getting stuck. I can tell you that your tires are awesome so don't get rid of them!

lol but if you do insist on parting with those beauties- how much? :D
