Okay so I had some free time after work and cut some metal
Nothing is tacked or welded yet but this where I'm at so far

practiced some more with the scrap metal

and this is the welder.... I'm starting to doubt whether it will be able to do the job seeing as its only a 120V welder... any thoughts?

The welder should be able to do what you need it to do. You might need to crank up the heat a bit. It's hard to tell for sure but a couple of those test welds look a little cold. i.e. puddle building up in a pile rather than burning in and penetrating.

the heat was cranked to the last setting it has.... 7Ga or .187 thickness

the puddles are probably due to me I'm still trying to get used to the whole thing I'll try to take my good camera out tomorrow and take some pictures of some welds

if your heat is cranked up, then you might be moving too slow or have the wire speed to fast. That could be causing the build up.

Now that you say that I do kinda think im going pretty slow... Ill try to go a little faster and if that doesn't look better ill put the wire speed down some. Ill just have to keep messing with it and report back.

Thanks for the tips guys I really appreciate ... I don't want this thing to fall off and hurt someone
