WOOP WOOP, got the back end up in the air tonight and the front is apart and waiting for the coils to be installed in the morning. Watch my build tomorrow night for the new lift. Back sat at 36" before and ended with 39" after the new DAKARs. Couldn't be happier so far.

How do you like the flares? Also how much trimming was needed to fit the tires when you flex?

I love the flares... but unfortunately i havent flexed them out the whole way yet, I need to get my extended brake line on in the rear. The stock one just seems really short and it worries me. So I only flexed it on the one side of the truck, but hopefully i get that line on this weekend. I'll let you know when it gets done how it works

Got my ELITE bumper and smittybilt winch
    [IMG]

then got the bumper off ... she looks naked
    [IMG]

    and there it is installed
    [IMG]

Now I have to make some modifications on my turn signals, find some new fog lights, and wire up the winch
And while i was under the truck found that I'm having cv boot failure on the passenger side that i gotta fix up, along with adjusting my coilovers down some

Damn your truck is sick don't know why I haven't seen your truck yet. Lovin the elite bumper think that's close to next on the to do list for me. Oh and Idk if you gave it thought but I've seen people just use led strips under their headlights as turn signals. Looks clean and would be easy. Just an idea.

Hey thanks man... I really just recently went to town on the modding so that's prolly why you haven't seen the truck yet. I would definitely recommend a bumper of some kind next on your list. LEDs are a good idea I'll definitely look into that. I really like your truck by the way especially the retro hids.. I've got some morimoto d2s I just got to get some time to put them on

The grill fit perfect the color is not that close.. I'll end up painting it eventually but it is a lot brighter than the silver on the rest of the truck. I'm not sure if it's painted plastic to painted metal or if it's just plain not the right color

it was originally on the toyota trucks as a luxury type package. all tacoma trd's are sr5. and many non trd are sr5. supposively they're out there. but i've never seen one. if you have I'd like to see it. I guess the 5 lug base models are considered not sr5.

either way. his truck is sr5. you're speaking of a special edition sr5.
