    Yep.
Maybe bring the aft edge down a little, flush with the headliner?

I definitely have to do that, I also want to build a trim piece that covers up the cut edges of the headliner

That should be easy enough....Cut a hollow rectangle and put Velcro on it...it will stick to the headliner

Velcro... Good thinking, awesome idea

I just ordered some abs plastic from Amazon so I can make the trim piece and build something to bring the switch plate down and keep it sturdy

You could plastic weld an abs lip onto the switch panel. Then let it hang from the headliner if it is tight enough. Then instead of velcro, you can get some shallow screws and sandwich the headliner between the trim and the interior plate.

I gotcha yeah that would work

I'm gonna work on getting the hole cut to the right size while I'm waiting on the plastic then pull the switch plate out and see what I can do

So I worked on the switch setup tonight, I made a trim piece but at the moment I may not need it

It turned out much better after I plasti-welded some extensions on the back. I'll take more pictures of what I did to the switch mount when I go back to wire it up

I'm just really happy it turned out all right

    Thanks josh!

Question for you... You have an arb compressor correct? If so did you use the arb switch or did you switch to an otrattw switch

It's the same switch- carling. But I changed the rocker to an Otrattw laser etched rocker.

Okay so you just took the cover off and switched it on to the arb? reason I asked was because my arb switch has 5 prongs and the otrattw has 4

I think it's because the arb has two led feeds so it has an extra prong but I'm not sure

So I attempted to do my dual battery setup today but I was thwarted again

This is how far I got when I came to the realization that not only would the hood not close but the left side bolt that holds the upper piece to the lower piece was to short and not even close to being lined up

If you look close the scratches are where it was hitting

The lower mark was the closest I could get it to not hitting, but clearly it's still off by easily an 1/2"

I don't really know how to proceed. I'm not sure if it's something I'm doing wrong or if it's just poorly made. I'm starting to think they made a design change. I've never seen a tray without the columbia overland cut out in the middle.
It seems the batteries are to tall but they are the ones they recommend.

Anyway I put mil spec battery connectors on my battery and put it back on

Then I put my redline hood struts on

what a bunch of bull shit. definitely try to get a hold of them.

and in regards to the switch, yea that sounds right. the arb switches have illumination and dimmer wires

I'm gonna give it another shot either tomorrow or Monday...

I got on expo portal and found a guy who added one of these a few years ago, he had to grind some plastic off his batteries to get them to fit right. He also had to bend his factory fuse box mount. Both of those are some trouble I'm having.

If I do get it to work, i'm still not happy because I'm 4 hours into this already, and this should have only took 1/2 hour
