Ahh yes thanks for reminding me!...
Going to order the suspension and axle components tonight and then put in for a quote on the metal for the frame sometime next week

No trailer work this weekend but I did clean my bed out.....

    Pulled the bedliner.

    This is how it looked

    Cleaned it

And added a new to me bedrug. I just ordered some 3M Velcro from Amazon so I can fasten it in later.

Got a question For anyone who could help. I have a PO420 code but it comes and goes at what I thought was random. Well what I read was it could be the battery cables being loose so I checked that and it fixed it for a few days but it came back.

Now what I have realized in the past couple of days, is that the code comes back when my fuel tank gets low  I fill the tank up and park the truck for the night the code is gone in the morning.

I don't want to go changing O2 sensors or catalytic converter to find out that didn't fix it any suggestions?

check to make sure theres no leaks in your exhaust. I was getting 0430 and now 0156 from a broken bolt at the flange where the header meets the Y pipe because there is a gap now. Need to get a new bolt

I had an off n on po420 for almost a year when I first got the truck, turned out that the gasket for the rear o2 sensor was completely rusted away (along with the bung studs). Had a muffler guy weld in a new bung, got a new gasket the the code has been gone since.

So def check for an exhaust leak.. But it is strange that your code is related to your fuel level.. Gas cap maybe? Fuel level sending unit/sensor?

Thanks Craig! Looking forward to next weekend.

Sidenote: checked the exhaust the gaskets between the cat and the exhaust I think are shot, but with this fancy thing called rust it looks like it's fused together to a point that there is no leak....

O put the rtt back on and I might sleep in it tonight for shits and giggles

My exhaust is extremely rusted but no holes, now for the gasket on the O2 sensor that could be an issue . I'd have to check that out

Not the gas cap, but I never fixed my dented tank so if the sending unit would give off a 420 code then I suppose that would be a good spot to start.

Idk if the sending unit can throw a 420, was just a thought I had.

My cat gasket is also rusted/fused to all hell but doesn't leak either..

Looking forward to meeting you and wheeling next wknd!!

I heard a rattling coming from under my truck and I found this, I came off the backside of the driverside cat. It doesn't seem be leaking now but I may throw a hose clamp on there for next weekend.

Hmm that seems odd considering the cats have flanges to bolt them on to the rest of the exhaust. I don't see why there would be a hose clamp on it

Slept in the tent last night, can't wait to finish the trailer. No rain last night but it was so humid I have the tent setup to dry out.... so annoying

Your right, I was on my way to work when I found it and I just looked under there real quick. But it's just the clamp off the heat shield. I guess that why there where no leaks.:anonymous:
