    So I called etrailer today, and the lovely lady on the phone asked for pictures. So I sent her pictures and she had her technician look them over. He says they are perfectly fine to use and the bearings do not sit on that part of the spindle. Now that seems reasonable, but I'm questionable. :notsure:

    I kind of feel like those axles are fine too, because it doesn't look like that part matters. It is strange that it isn't finished in better condition though. You'd think it would all look the same regardless if it's necessary or not.

    The only other person I know of on here that has that axle set up, probably doesn't have a clue what they look like, because apparently he doesn't do any of his own work...

    There is nothing wrong with that spindle, the only thing that is going to touch that part is excessive grease. I see it all the time.

    Awesome! Thank you that's the information I need to hear. I've never messed with trailer axles before so I not familiar with the wear and tear on internals

    :devil: haha now who could that be.... Yeah, you would think they would at least make them look reasonable. Not just "ah it is what it is"

    No, not as of right now. I guess my plan is to get them installed and see if there actually is an issue or not. If there is an issue then I'll go back to etrailer and timbren as well. I'm banking on it not being issue.
