I would say you can get it cheaper. Especially now that the '12s are out and almost end of the year. Shop internet sales dept at all dealers in a 500 mile radius. You may not be willing to drive 500 miles to pick up a pickup:eek:, but the other dealers you are pitting against one another for the sale don't know that:D

IMO it is a 2011. They already have the 2012's out. I would not pay that much for something technically "outdated".

I paid about that much for my tx pro but that was before 12s were out, at that price they might move they might not it is about 4100.00 off msrp.

look online for the invoice price with all the equipment it has, then start there. Remember, you could buy a 2011 or a 2012 for close to cost, so why buy the outdated model if your looking at new?

truecar & edmunds give a good snapshot of price based on your zipcode.

Not lots of folks buying expensive trucks, end of the year, the Holidays, Its a 2011,
Today being end of the month, that truck should be below 30!

Today is a good day to work a price on that truck. If not, walk there is always another day if you are not in a hurry is best.

Excellent advice. First question I'd be justifying to myself though is what is the price difference between this and the one that I actually want? Then take a look at that delta and decide if it's worth it to you. Not sure if I'd really care if the TX Pro is a good deal or not if it's not the one I want.

Dealers don't advertise their lowest price. Also, prices vary depending on your location. Decide what exactly you want and how much you want to pay and stick to it.

i think the truecar suggested price is like $30,500, so that would suggest maybe this dealer has it significantly discounted... but, yes i (think) what i really want is a 2012, w/ less "equipment" than the TX/Pro, and in 2WD, not 4WD.... Price for what i'm looking for is $3500 lower than this..:notsure:

When I clicked the link its saying this is SOLD, guessing OP you didn't buy it. And why don't you want 4X4? Its not that much more maint to take care of. You don't get any snow where you are in Ohio?

well just by going to a 2wd will drop the price quite a bit. I say pass on it and look for a 2wd if thats what you want and save the money.

looks like you're right - must of sold today! ...oh well, looked like a nice looking rig, but was a bit outside my scope and price...

...yes we can get some good storms here, ..but i've been driving a RWD car for 10yrs, ...i figure a RWD truck couldn't be any worse, ..4WD would be nice a few days when you need to get through the rough stuff, but otherwise it's a lot more components that will need maintenance, source of problems/cost, etc.. i mainly stay on the road ;)

Got ya, just make sure you put weight in the back for the snow. Light rear end in the snow = no go.

I almost bought an 11 T/X Pro. Had them down to 29k (from 35 and change) but they wouldn't go any lower so I ended up getting a 2010 Off Road for 26k with low miles. BTW I live in an area where Tacomas sticker and sell at 35k+ for double cabs. And why don't you want 4wd in OH?
