Well.....if you hit that “buy” button on Amazon it becomes their problem to get you the goods.

I was very surprised to see a set of KC G4 Gravity amber fogs on Amazon.ca for a really, really good price, sold directly to Amazon by KC. Free shipping as well (price has since been revised.....I think they put the $USD price in $CDN by mistake). It said delivery in 5-6 weeks. 4 weeks later they are on my doorstep.

I’m going to offer a bit of a review on these SAE/DOT approved fogs later. I know these have been covered in-depth in other places and threads. I’ll offer my less scientific take on things later.

What is for sure is they look incredible both off and on, and that’s all that matters isn’t it?

I've been looking into these myself! Only concern is winter conditions, as LEDs will generally not clear the housing due to no/little outward heat

Nice! I went with the clear G4 for my taco. I would’ve went with amber myself, but I live in sunny California where we rarely see snow/fog/dust storms in my area. The clears work really nice for night driving in rural areas.

I almost pulled the trigger on these several months ago but they were sold out for a period of time in their website... Not sure if they ever replenished or not. I ended up getting the morimoto ambers which are great but damn I like the design of the KC's

Nice. I have the G4’s and they are awesome. I had a review thread somewhere on them.

I will get some snaps tomorrow. I’ve only got the one PS G4 light installed so I can compare stock beam height to the new G4 and set them the same.
Both OEM and G4 are adjustable in vertical plane for aiming, but not left-to-right. Once I match the new lamp aim height on PS to the existing lamp on DS I’ll replace the DS.

I’ll take a “full frontal” then. Likely tomorrow.

If you have long arms! The only challenge is reaching the back of the lamps of you don’t want to remove your fender liners.

The provided wiring harness is truly “plug and play” with the adapter they give you. The G4 lamps themselves are Toyota specific, so fit exactly in the stock mounting bracket and mate up with the OEM trim pretty much perfectly. No gaps, no rewiring, no relays, no driver modules. Just gotta find a place to strap the additional wire length of the G4 lights.

Note: The 2nd Gen Tacoma install uses two screws, but the 3rd Gen mounting option only uses one screw as matches the stock 3G lights (must be cost cutting by Toyota :D). The lamps housing, both OEM and G4, is the exact same between 2nd and 3rd Gen Tacoma’s.

Super easy, just hard to reach.

Yeah. I was lucky to get a deal, through Amazon of all places. The KC dealers in Canada are brutal with pricing.

I did some testing tonight with one OEM fog and one G4 and will probably just update my first post when I have time.

One observation I’ll share now, is the forward beam pattern of these G4 fogs matches the OEM almost perfectly, indicating they are SAE/DOT compliant as stated by KC and are not going to blind oncoming drivers, or create a lot of scatter in fog, dust, or rain/snow. The G4’s have more side-wash, and a little less upwards glare. Brightness is about equal, but I’m digging the Amber big time.

On the left is OEM halogen, and on the right is G4. Shining on a white wall. The white blobs above are from the LED DRLs.

Some other fun I was having testing these out ;) vvvvv
