Thanks so much for the clarity! Any particular reason everyone who sas's gets a different pump?

Hydro assist needs it, as well as full hydro. It's pretty difficult to wheel with just the stock pump since it's pretty weak for tires over 35"s. I don't think everyone gets a new pump. I still have the stock one... But not for long.

Well i would probly never run anything over 35's. I'd be looking to get a rig like alove's and have it as a badass dailydriver and occasional wheeler until i upgrade and start using it strictly as a toy.

Most likely. Me and a buddy had thoughts of just going to Tracey City, but still unsure. Probably will end up at Windrock. :D

I'd slap both the F250 axles under there and throw some 37's on there. Tacoma with one tons and 37's would be mooooooooney.

i'm gonna eventually have a diesel, solid axle, 5 lug, but i'm not sure which i should do first, the SAS or diesel?

also, when i do a SAS and i box the frame (i'm gonna do the whole frame so it's plenty strong) i could do it with some 1/4 inch steel plate, correct?

dad and i can do all the fab work ourselves.

EDIT: link or leafs? from my understanding leafs are cheaper.

my use for the truck would be a hunting truck that i crawl through the woods to retrieve animals.

I would go with a SA first personally. Way more benefit compared to a diesel.

Yeah the only part you need to box is the rear end (all other part is already boxed) However, it is still wise to add re-enforcement plates to the front near the engine bay.

Leafs, unless you plan on wheeling hardcore, there is no point in links. They can get very expensive and time consuming.

    cool

i don't plan on being tough on it, i just want the ability of 4WD, and the flex.

is there a place to get a adapter built for a 4bt to a r150 tranny? (not SA related but someone might know)

Leafs will do great. Just do some good old research and you will make a pretty capable truck for a good price as long as you find good deals and build it right from the get-go.

My leafs flex well. (This is before I was able to properly adjust my suspension. I have more flex now.

And here is another truck to top the leaf spring flex.

Try Inchworm Gear. They are coming out with a new adapter that might just work for you. It's actually for a 6 speed, but hey, why not?

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I've been logging my swap it's an over the top high budget SAS I think I'll be at around $20,000 to $23,000 when all said and done and that's with no labor charges

I'll post my cost and parts when it's all done.
