Satellite radio issues

Ok.....I got a Sirius radio for Xmas today. I mounted the antenna above the windshield on the drivers side. I ran the cable down the windshield weatherstripping, up under the dash to the console. Everything works fine but I hear some static on every empty station I try. I tried the FM antenna that came with it but the same static is there.

ANybody else have this issue?

I had that problem with my XM. First try this site. I have put in 88220 already and this will give the best stations to use.http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/vacant?select=city&city=88220&state=&x=0&y=0

Next, I put a ferrite ring around my antenna wire near the radio. This filtered all of my static.

 

try different preset stations and get the fm direct converter
