I've had mine just under thirty days nothing about it warrants taking it back for immediate service. There is a little delay from reverse to drive but power is great and I love it.

17000 miles and no major issues or concerns. I purchased a new 2002 Tacoma DC 4x4 with the 3.4 V6 and there is no comparison in power with my 2016. My 2002 was an absolute dog , but I still loved driving it. My 2016 has plenty of power for a mid sized V6 truck.

I own a 2016 TRD OFF ROAD V6, never been this disappointed. I have a owned a half a dozen toyota pick ups/tacoma over thirty years by far the worst. tanny problems not resolved and howl in rear end and chirping under hood carrying it up corp ladder I am truly glad for the one's not having any problems their hope for the one's that do.

Love my Tacoma - no issues. Lots of whiney/entitled 'men' on here.

I don't know if my truck is different but I feel like I have plenty of power.

I drive a '16 TRD OR. Had mine since May. I bought it used with 9,000 miles. Currently has 17,000 miles on it and no serious issues. Incredible performance off road. Most fun vehicle I've ever driven (and this coming from a guy whose first car had a 340 6-pack and helped his dad restore a '70 hemi cuda)

I wouldn't buy one again. Only because I've had so many of the issues that Toyota still has been unable to fix. I've spent probably 3 weeks cumulatively in the shop now in first year of ownership. $40k is a lot of money to spend on such a problematic vehicle.

Only have 2k on 2016 trd off road dcsb but love it more everyday. Power when I need it, fuel economy when I need it. No issues that anyone has posted on here so far and don't expect any.

I've had mine since March, only issue was transmission lag from R to D, TSB fixed it plus some, love to drive it.
I have had a couple instances where the radio rebooted continuously when playing through Bluetooth during a storm, apparently it is a problem on newer 2nd gens also, I haven't had it happen since the last radio firmware update either.
No vibrations, diff whines, or even LCA howling on mine. Not even the leaf spring squeak yet, though I do garage mine and that may help.

I came from a 4Runner with the 4.0 everyone seems to love on this forum, wasn't as loved on the 4Runner forums though, I traded mine in as the head gasket was going, a common problem on the 4th Gen 4Runners with the 4.0.
Anyway, this has as much power or more than my 4Runner, though the 4Runner was lifted with 285 BFGs and my Taco is stock.

There's been a lot of complaints and documented problems with our truck. It's a man made product. I'm truly sorry for the ones who are having such issues. Must be so frustrating... But keep this in mind, If you do some research you will find that the 2016 Chevy Colorado has multiple complaints regarding transmission issues as well as two recalls. The 2016 Nissan Frontier has a recall for electrical failure issues... Shit happens no matter the brand or company... What is important is if the company holds true to their warranty and fixes their flaws.

Got my 2017 TRD Off Road in metallic grey with the upgraded tech package earlier this month. So far put 800 miles on it and not a single problem. It's the second Tacoma I've owned and I love it even more. Done just a few mods to it-- will do more once it's paid off.

Too bad the 16 MT would take your 5.0 ford behind the wood shed.
