Satoshi Grill Symbols

Picked this up a few weeks ago for my Satoshi Grill mod.

Got from a place called Wimberley Four Wheel Drive, Just outside San Marcos TX off of I-35.

The guy over there had about 10 more of these if anyone is looking for one. he even had a few from other old toyotas that were a bit different

Its from a 1980 somethin Land Cruiser cost me 20 bucks, threw some paint on it and it turned out pretty nice.




Taped it off








Kinda looked like ass, so i touched it up by hand with some silver paint and a sharpie haha

Then clear coated it and BAM!!!!

taping was a bitch.....and i was kinda pissed when i took off the tape and it looked sloppy, but I think i cleaned it up pretty nice, that sharpie was money and the clearcoat made it really pop

 

that's looking really good...

now get that sucka on the grill and post pics...

Haven't had a chance to Post the Grill or Avid Light Bar, but I thought I'd contribute one here. Started with same emblem, cut letters apart, cut out center of "O's" and "A", so mesh would show thru. Filled back with epoxy, drilled and tapped each letter for 4-40 stainless screws, mounted letters on rubber washers with plastic washers on back, under screwheads. Haven't loosened in the 1st 100 miles. BUT, I didn't tape, and butchered the silver outline with a brush. I'll redo it sometime, but 'til then I'll have to drive fast.
