I haven't converted the truck over to Water Wetter- but my motocycle (600CC sport bike) only runs about 4 degrees cooler (in FL).

I've heard the royal purple purple ice will drop the temp more- but it's always been "Oh yeah...my temps went down" without numbers.

I didn't even think about swapping the truck-but I may need to make a run to the place where I bought my bottle for the bike.....

Most of these products alter the surface tension, prevent cavitation, bubbles etc, but are not going to make the coolant mixture drop below the T/stat setting, if you are running within the swing range of the T/stat, you will notice nothing, but if you were offroading at low speed with a marginal fan clutch, and the temp went up to ~ 25-30º over the T/stat setting, these additives will probably dissipate more for a given amount of air flow. Some additional benefit can be had by just running the minimum mix percentage of antifreeze to make a less viscous fluid. Most antifreeze mixtures meet the rust/corrosion level @ 33-35%, and will cool better, but will lower the boiling point as well if you have a severe overheat situation, and most don't want to be bothered these days with draining some of the mixture and adding more antifreeze to boost coolant to the correct freezing point come wintertime.
