I have an 08 DC. I'm going to check what version of firmware I have when I get home. I'm sure it's not 4.02. Is the free upgrade still available?

Don't worry about him, Ever since my first post in this thread he was making claims about me too. I posted and left, I posted incorrect info cuz he couldn't get it to work. Well that all turned out to be false I guess. :D

I don't think he ever did get it to work in his truck anyways due to the year change.

Some people just know everything and want to be the only one posting info.

I don't know what I would do without you. Thanks for giving me just a small piece of all your wise ass knowledge.
I also apologize for not checking in with you before posting in the forums. Your right that might have changed alot.... For you.
I don't work for Linear Logic LLC, and I sure hope he was more helpful then me . Unlike you I'm not in a competition to know everything or be more helpful. I only pass on what I know and don't pretend to know anything more.

I sent mine in a month ago or so, about seven months after I PM'ed LinearLogicLLC and received instructions for how to get a free upgrade.

They flashed it and sent it back to me within a couple of days. Good people at LLLLC. :)

Im looking in to purchasing a unit. Heres my question. If you are taking your truck to the dealership for service would you leave the unit connected to your truck or disconnect it and leave it home? Also could a mechanic be able to determine the unit has been connected to your vehicle?

This. The scangauge in no way will void your warranty so no need to hide the fact you have it.

I would also like to know which Trans Temp number is worth monitoring. Seems that the Trans Pan Temp (TF1) is more consistent and therefore a better indication of overheating. Thoughts?

I finally had the codes with me and put in the TFT xgauge. Seems to work nicely. Seems to run around 190 degrees in normal, moderate speed, light throttle driving, temp goes up at high speeds, when unlocked, and during low speed driving.

I saw max temps of about 210 degrees while driving 55-80 mph in 105 degree weather yesterday.

I was pulling a 5500 lbs trailer and was getting 212 pan/226 conv temps the other day.

According to the site http://www.digi-panel.com/trannyoil.htm I will need to change trans oil every 25-30K.

I might just to the yearly drain and fill.

Free upgrade is still available for Tacoma World members. I just got my Scanguage II back with the upgrade yesterday. I haven't plugged it back in yet, I can't wait to see how it works. Thanks to James and the folks at Linear Logic.

    TFT1 and TFT2 both only work on 10+. Pre-10s only get TFT1.

Hey, I was, and am, happy that I got a TFT1...... I'd love to get oil pressure to, but that one I'll have to build myself if I want it.

Purchased the ScanGuage2 and pic of cab location. Found a speedsheet online with several topics to program into the unit. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I get both TFT1 and TFT2 on my 06. TFT2 is the one that fluctuates a lot.

For TFT1 I use the CANSF codes straight from the Scangauge website.
For TFT2 I use the same code but change the RXD to 1810.

Both x guages showing transmission temps confirmed on 2010 with scanguage version 3.16 . Nobody confirmed this yet .

Bumping this thread since it has the best information on the scanguage and will save members countless hours of searching hundreds of scanguage posts like I just did
